Lolita Restaurant Review: A Culinary Adventure in Ambiance and Flavor

We had been considering a trip to Lolita for some time. It had received excellent reviews, and the interior looked very attractive. When we finally had the chance to go, we had a great experience.

What initially appealed to us was the menu, which offered many options that sounded amazing.

I naturally ordered a Michelada. It was nearly perfect – fresh tomato juice with a little kick, topped off with beer. It hit the spot.

We started with the Los Tres Guacamole, which included all three types of guacamole they offer: the Fresco with tomato, roasted Serrano, red onion, and cilantro; the Tocino with bacon, pico, and cilantro; and the Especial with lobster and garlic herb butter. All three were incredible, but my favorite was the Especial. It was unlike anything I had ever had before, and it totally worked. I know that including lobster might seem like an easy win because how could anything with lobster be anything but great? Regardless, this combination was unique, and we really enjoyed it a great deal.

For my main course, I chose the Baja Shrimp Bomb, which came with shrimp, green chili slaw, black beans, and Baja white BBQ chihuahua cheese. I loved it. It was served with a generous portion of French fries, which of course wouldn’t make your cardiologist happy, but let’s be honest here. Fries with a taco? Pretty awesome all around when you’re ready to just enjoy a meal.

The ambiance and service were lovely. We went for a late lunch, so the place was relatively empty. I was impressed by the warm and lively ambiance and the comfortable seating. We were able to have a great conversation without being overwhelmed by noise. Our server was fantastic – friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
